Phones, tablets, and computer monitors create color with light, while printed signs, vinyl, banners, and other materials use inks, films, substrates, and real-world lighting. Because of that, a proof is a visual guide for layout and content, not an exact color match. If you need a very specific brand color or close color match, please let us know before approving your proof so we can discuss the best options.
RGB and CMYK are two different ways of building color. RGB is used for screens, such as phones, websites, and computer monitors. CMYK is commonly used for printing. Some bright screen colors, especially neon or very vivid colors, cannot be reproduced exactly in print or on certain sign materials. We will do our best to keep your colors looking right for the material and use, but screen color should not be treated as an exact production sample.
Vector artwork is usually best for signs because it can be scaled up without becoming blurry. Common vector file types include AI, EPS, SVG, and some PDF files. High-resolution PNG or JPG files can work for some projects, but screenshots, small web images, and low-resolution logos may not print clearly at sign size. If you are not sure what you have, send it to us and we can take a look.
Please review all spelling, names, phone numbers, website addresses, layout, size, colors, materials, quantities, and placement before approving. Proof approval means you are giving us permission to move forward with production based on that proof. We want you to be happy with the final result, so this is the best time to ask questions or request changes.
Yes. Please request any changes before approving your proof. Small corrections are a normal part of the process. Larger redesigns, a new direction, or multiple rounds of changes may require additional design time, but we will discuss that with you before adding any extra design fee.
Sometimes we can get very close, especially when you provide brand color specifications, Pantone colors, a previous sample, or a physical reference. Exact color matching is not always possible on every material or production method, and colors can also look different under different lighting. If exact color is important for your project, please tell us early so we can recommend the best approach.
We hope that these answers have been helpful. If you have any additional questions or would like to discuss your signage needs, please don't hesitate to contact us.
